Too cool for school - lovin the glassesThis week we caught up with Josh Wilson, an expert in gaming reviews and fine living. Bela and I had the honour of spending four days with Josh in Porto, Portugal for an entrepreneurship conference, and he certainly brightened up our trip. You may catch Josh in his new office at the ETTC or entertaining customers at Last Drop – he’s got a great attitude and we’re excited to watch SquareGo continue to grow.

What’s your startup, and your role?

Fidget Publishing Ltd (We make SquareGo mag and website) I’m MD. We publish videogame reviews that everyone can relate to. Mainly at www.square-go.com.

Give us your company culture in 3 words: Is it fun?

What’s the next big challenge or hurdle the company needs to overcome?

Get the new website up. Get people to it. Make it make money.

What’s the personal dream (in one sentence)?

To be able to do fun shit without having to worry too much.

And the professional dream (in one sentence)?

Get SquareGo profitable and get the magazine all over the UK (if not world), then personal dram can happen.

What do you do for stress relief?

I don’t really get that stressed to be honest. If pushed (and this is stressing me somewhat) I’d say, ‘Drink and smoke’. Although  it looks bad when you write it like that, it’s not really that bad. I think ‘Chilling with friends’ is the more socially acceptable way of putting it, but that’s a bit wet isn’t it.

Your favourite ’skint’ meal?

Dinner at someone else’s. THATS FREE.

How do you celebrate milestones or awards?

Pub?

What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?

Spending loads of money on stuff I don’t need. Camera bits and trainers from the look of my room. Or maybe just telling lots of small lies to wind friends up; I probably enjoy that too much.

And the coolest event you’ve been to?

Christmas. It’s quite an underground thing – you probably haven’ heard about it.

Name a quirky fact about yourself:

I can time travel: I spent five minutes doing this 60 second interview.

Give the choice, would you prefer…

i) Truth or Dare? Dare

ii) Carrot or Stick? Stick

iii) Tea or Coffee? Tea

Square Go looks good – but how can I get updates? Are you on Twitter? Is there a mailing list? (I’m not an RSS kinda guy)

Looking forward to some news on MW2! I’m getting ready to become a hermit for a few weeks

Ok Josh I changed your pic to one from the private collection… =) Feel free to send me another if you have a better shot, but I couldn’t quite cope with the half-naked Twitter pic for our readers here, ha. What kind of image do you think we project?!
