Have you heard about these guys? A new online media startup is looking for interns to join their Edinburgh hub. The neat company Said.fm links up audio content on the web to offer ‘themed listening for curious ears,’ and without knowing the founders personally, it seems like they’d be fun to work with. Initially seeking 2-3 days work for 2 weeks, this is a bite-sized commitment for anyone who wants some work experience in the area and potentially more if it’s a good match.
What is it you do? We join up talk shows, lectures and podcasts using themes from the audio content to create an awesome listening experience!
What jobs do you have? Said.fm Editorial Interns
Who is this role suited to? Students who are interested in working with an online media startup.
What type of person are you looking for? A hands on, enthusiastic guy or gal with good general knowledge and enjoys listening to online audio programmes (talk shows / lectures / podcasts). You must have an interest in subjects at the crossroads with popular culture and science, technology or economics. You will also be an early adopter type, good with new technology and comfortable with editing / researching Wikipedia. Preferably with own laptop.
What’s the pay? This is an unpaid internship, but we will provide a nice work environment and a yummy lunch.
How long is the internship? 2 to 3 days for 2 weeks initially, but with possible extension.
Where is it based? At the Said.fm hub, in the West End of Edinburgh.
