Jessica is in Barcelona this week for the Mobile World Congress. So, I’m standing in to give you your weekly dose of events in Edinburgh.

Wed 17th Feb, 9am, Stirling, Be Inspired to Innovate for your future

For the 3^rd year, EDTC and ICASS bring to you their FREE one day event and showcase aimed at companies and entrepreneurs who are developing new products and processes.   This year the event will focus on the clients we have helped and their stories of success – no celebrities, no advisors, no death by PowerPoint – just our clients sharing their experiences with you!   Through six different interactive workshops, hear first hand from our clients how they met the challenges and overcame the obstacles of developing a new product.  Learn from these clients and ask them anything you want to know about getting your product to market.   We have a diverse range of clients showcasing products from various industry sectors, each with their own story to tell.

Wed 17th Feb, 6.30pm, Management School, Growing a Technology Company

For the final talk in the Archangel Speaker Series, Gavin and Ian will talk about growing successful Scottish technology companies from start-up to expansion using Mpathy Medical as an example. They will also talk about the practical challenges of strategic planning, finding the best sales model and working in the US.

Thurs 18th Feb, all day, Management School, Meeting with the Entrepreneur in residence

Following the success of the Entrepreneur in Residence sessions held by Professor Gavin Don, the Club’s first Entrepreneur in Residence, the Entrepreneurship Club is delighted to announce the appointment of a second Entrepreneur in Residence, George Mackintosh. Between them, Gavin and George have a huge wealth of knowledge relevant to entrepreneurs across a broad range of areas. Given the complementary nature of their experience and areas of expertise, Club members are welcome to book sessions with both Entrepreneurs in Residence.

February ScotRUG – Lightning talks: a set of 20/20 lightning talks. Each speaker has 20 slides, which transition automatically after 20 seconds, giving them 6 minutes.
