The very active Launch.ed team have come up with another competition to stimulate the student/recent graduates at Edinburgh University into enterprise. In true Launch.ed fashion – they don’t disappoint – with a 5k cash prize, alongside 3 runner up prizes of £1k.

Are you working on a novel idea with commercial potential? Perhaps there is some disruptive thinking in your research or you have invented something with an interesting market application. The LAUNCH.ed Innovation Cup is aimed innovative research or technology based business ideas or ventures from researchers, students and graduates from the University of Edinburgh. Overall winner will receive £5000 cash. There are also three runners up awards of £1000. Applicants must be University of Edinburgh PhD researchers, post doctoral researchers, postgraduate students, final year undergraduate students, or recent alumni and intending to build a business in Scotland within in the next 12 months or within 12 months of their graduation.
The judges will be looking for businesses who can demonstrate growth potential, scaleability and potential to get off the ground.
