Did any of you see the article in the Metro last month about light sabres?
A ‘light sabre’ device has been built by adapting blue lasers from home cinema projectors. Sound cool? Well it’s not…it’s hot…hot enough to quickly set your skin on fire and blind you instantly.
Yet this device, which the manufacturer says is not a toy, is on sale for £135 and according to the ‘paper can potentially be ordered by anyone with a credit card. It comes with safety goggles though. Hmmm. Anyone else think we should try our small best to keep Edin Uni’s Light Sabre Duelling Society from finding out about this, or feel the need to confiscate their credit cards?
