Wow! The next few weeks seems to be packed with exciting events! In case you didn’t know about them, here’s a list of the ones that we know about:

13th – 14th August, Edinburgh Interactive Festival
Edinburgh Interactive is an annual festival celebrating the creative culture of interactive entertainment. Spanning across a broad range of industries including videogames, social networking, mobile entertainment, education, film, music and television. People working for Scottish companies are entitled to a discount s that passes are £99+VAT (instead of £149+VAT).
14th Aug, 18.00-21.00, Twinge Party
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (@EdinburghFringe) is putting on a night of entertainment, fun and frolics for all you Twitter folks. The hotly anticipated Twinge Party, sponsored by Informatics Ventures (@infventures), is a first for the Fringe and will be a small taster of the of the wide variety of acts and spectacles that can be found in Edinburgh over the month of August.
14th Aug, 20.00, Literary Twestival, West Port Book Festival
This is the world’s first Literary Twestival (until proven otherwise, preferably over our dead, tweeted-out bodies). We’ll be taking the social media craze, Twitter, and giving it a decidedly literary twist. In case you’re wondering – Twitter allows you to post 140 character tweets and provides a marvellous place for literary experimentation.

3rd Sept, 18.00-22.00, MobileCamp Edinburgh
MobileCamp Edinburgh will bring together mobile enthusiasts, explorers and professionals from Scotland and the UK to share the current state and their visions for the future direction of mobility. We hope to support the many voices helping to unlock the potential of a truly digital life. Topics may include – but are not limited to – web applications, BONDI, mobile gaming, social mobility and presence, near field communication, open standards, protocols, and platforms, etc.
10th Sept, Edinburgh Twestival
The first Edinburgh Twestival was held on 12 February 2009, in support of the global cause charity:water. Edinburgh’s second Twestival, this time for a local cause, will take place on 10 September 2009.
17th Sept, 10.00, Shell Livewire Edinburgh
Shell LiveWIRE and Scottish Enterprise are hosting this FREE sales, PR and networking training day for any young entrepreneurs aged 16-30 based in Scotland. Guest speakers including Mike Southon (Author of ‘The Beermat Entrepreneur’); Melanie Harris (The Training Tree); Mike Welch (Black Circles); Nicky Gray (Kiki’s Kabin / TEDCO); Jonathan Kennedy (Director, Wave PR Ltd).
23rd Sept, CloudCamp Scotland
It’s free and it’s an unconference where early adopters and industry leaders of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. I thought some of your readers might be interested in Startup Weekend at Glasgow Caledonian University from August 27-29.
The aim of the weekend is for Scotland’s entrepreneurs to take a business from idea to launch in just three days.
