The BFI London Film Festival kicks off next week, and a new free app from Loc8 Solutions will enrich the experience for festival-goers this year. Following stellar apps for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and International Film Festival, Loc8 Solutions is well immersed in the events scene with apps that make visitors’ lives easier and more fun.
When overwhelmed with choice at these large scale events, festival-goers can use the app to more effectively plan, discover and decide. Moving beyond the information that’s scattered across brochures and leaflets, you can also watch movie trailers – a real enhancement for a festival of films.
You may have noticed the growing Loc8 Solutions team, or at least many new faces around the office. With a number of apps to show for it and more on the way, it’s exciting to see what else the expanding team will come up with. I’d like to put a vote in that they take over the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 app, because the CES 2010 version was… well, rubbish by comparison. Any other festivals needing a face-lift?
Reviews on the iTunes store are so far extremely positive, so that’s great feedback for the Loc8 crew. If you know someone heading to the London Film Festival 13-28 October, you can tell them to have a look at this ‘really useful app that will bring your BFI Experience to life.’
