A few months ago, I mentioned that the Guardian was hiring local beatbloggers. In particular, I was intrigued by why the Guardian picked Edinburgh, Cardiff and Leeds – it struck me that these cities didn’t have a whole lot in common.
Fast forward to a few months, and you will be interested to hear that the new blogger has started!
Jessica and I met Tom (left in the photo) at the Edinburgh Coffee Morning this week; I, for one, will be very interested in seeing how the whole “traditional media paying someone to do new media” experiment pans out.
