[CANCELLED – SNOW DAY!]
Tuesday 7th December: Free Breakfast & Networking Event, 8am for 8:30am at George Hotel (George Street)
Did I hear free breakfast? Ok I’m listening! Yes, a free breakfast to kick off your Tuesday, brought to you by an organisation called the Forum for Private Business… Join us at our free breakfast networking event… Sorry folks they’ve just had to cancel this with white powder disrupting travel plans – to be rescheduled for January 2011. In the meantime, have a nice snow morning!
Tuesday 7th December: Aberdeen Mighty Meetup (digital community), 6pm at 210 Bistro, Aberdeen
The launch of a cool new digital group in Aberdeen – sending lots of good vibes their way! Join us for the first monthly Mighty Meetup where we’ll be talking “Emerging technologies for the web”. We have some of Aberdeen’s most experienced and charismatic digital folk lined up to discuss everything from Fonts on the web to JavaScript. Whether you’re agency, freelance or a student this is a great chance to network and learn (and have a few beers whilst we’re at it!). Speakers include @scottdgraham, @stevenmilne, @mitchinator, and @ianisted. You might like to keep an eye on them even if it’s from afar 🙂
Wednesday 8th December: Edinburgh TechMeetup, 6:30pm at Appleton Tower 8th Floor
A monthly gathering of folks interested in tech, from startups to developers to innocent bystanders. This month’s speakers are still mysterious, but may be announced shortly on the site. There’s always a lot to learn, new people to meet, and oh yeah – free beer and pizza! It’s all free, just turn up on the 8th Floor.
Thursday 9th December: Internet Marketing Meetup Group, 7:30pm at Hawke & Hunter
With the Christmas holidays rapidly approaching we thought we’d treat the next meetup as an opportunity to network, welcome new members and have a general chat about plans for the new year. To that end, we’d like to invite everyone in the group to join us at the Hawke and Hunter on Thursday 9th December at 7.30pm for Christmas networking drinks. Please feel free to bring anyone new along to the group. We hope to discuss ideas for new topics, speakers, collaborations and meetup formats for 2011.
Thursday 9th December: Drupaldrinks Edinburgh, 6pm at Holyrood 9A
The usual Edinburgh Drupal drinks. At the November drinks we figured we’d try to squeeze one in before Christmas, so here it is :). We also found Holyrood 9A to be rather more convivial than The Lot, our previous venue. It’s a little bit noisier, but it feels more like being down the pub and talking tech over food and a beer or two. There’s wifi too, and we got a big table so room to show things to people. I’ll book it for 6 like last time, but please reply [HERE] if you’re coming so I can up the booking if need be. See you there! 🙂
Friday 10th December: Edinburgh Coffee Morning, 8am at Centotre
Every Friday morning, Edinburgh’s creative early risers meet at 8am for breakie, and a chance to share ideas and Web 2.0 finds. Join in and brighten up your morning before a productive day.
[CANCELLED – SNOW DAY] Friday 10th December: SuperJam Tea Party, 2pm in Craigmillar
I’ll post details shortly if you want to come volunteer, eat scones and jam, and dance with funky old ladies and gents – what more could you ask for in one afternoon? Oh yes, I’ll totally be there… (comment below if you want full details)
[CANCELLED – SNOW AGAIN] Saturday 11th December: SuperJam book signing, 2-4pm at Jenners
Come along to support one of Scotland’s most impressive young entrepreneurs, who we just love to bits. Fraser Doherty will be at Jenners signing his recently launched book of jam recipes, so come along if you fancy it… hey you could even get a Christmas present taken care of – know any jam lovers?
Sunday 12th December: Great Scottish Santa Run (code word for Walk), 11am in Princes Street Gardens
What could be funnier than a few thousand people dressed as Santa Claus? You guessed it… not much! If you’re ready to laugh, spectate, or actually walk a mile in a santa outfit, head to the gardens to join what I think is an amazing holiday tradition. It’s £10 to register (£5 for kids), and that includes the full santa suit! Forget finding any more nice outfits, now you’re sorted for every Christmas party.
Don’t forget Drupaldrinks Edinburgh – 9th Dec

Ah good one, I added it in, gracias! 🙂
Also guys please note I mixed up the date for the free breakfast event (trying to watch Muppets Christmas Carol at the same time, shame on me) — it’s not Monday as I falsely alarmed at first, but definitely Tuesday… cheers!
and after all that… Breakfast CANCELLED! Sleep in. Make toast.
