Wednesday 2nd March: Refresh Edinburgh, 6:30pm at Holyrood 9A
Refresh Edinburgh is a community of web developers and designers interested in cutting-edge web technologies. We want to gather great minds, share our knowledge, promote local talent, and be more than we think we can be. We also want to drink and talk geek. Several RSVPs on Bloop – feel free to join in!
That’s at least 5 cupcakes by my count… you know we love our celebrations 😉
Thursday 3rd March: Girl Geeks Edinburgh Dinner, 6pm at Microsoft Office, 2-4 Waterloo Place
We are a community for women and girls interested in technology, creativity and computing. Dinners attract women from diverse careers and include fine artists, designers, theorists, political activists, software and hardware specialists and business experts. This event’s speakers are pretty awesome with Jane Ballantine, founder and CEO of Limitless Learning Limited, and Nina Sundberg, Director of the Windows Client Business for the UK. A few tickets still left surprisingly, and you can get your hands on one for £12 (students with £6 rebate ) including dinner.
Thursday 3rd March: UX Bookclub, 6:30pm at Precedent office, 63A George Street
Edinburgh UX Bookclub meets every other month to discuss a book that we’ve chosen to read together. We are a varied bunch, but all interested in learning more about User Experience. Come along to the first Edinburgh UX Bookclub where we’ll be talking about ‘Undercover User Experience Design’. Once you catch the user experience bug, the world changes. Doors open the wrong way, websites don’t work, and companies don’t seem to care. All welcome!
Friday 4th March: Edinburgh Coffee Morning, 8am at Centotre
Every Friday morning, Edinburgh’s creative early risers meet at 8am for breakie, and a chance to share ideas and Web 2.0 finds. Join in and brighten up your morning before a productive day.
