Last years winners Dr Michael Fontaine and Richard Mole with their idea ‘ArxBio’ , developing vaccines for the animal health market, have went onto bigger and better things since the award. They won a European open Innovation competition and they have also been shortlisted for pitching to a major investment company. So since the Converge Challenge things have been escalating for the Start-up company.
Adam Brown co-founder of Bellrock Technology won the Converge Challenge 2011 with his idea and business plan for ‘Lumen Technology’, an intelligent condition monitoring decision support software that will enable utilities companies to monitor the health and lifespan of their equipment. 9 months after winning Adam went on to pick up a runner-up prize at the Royal Academy of Engineering awards. But more recently Bellrock Technology have been shortlisted for two Innovation awards.
