Digital Manager
£31,838 Based Edinburgh
In this new post, which was created following a restructure, you’ll join our digital team – which has recently been tasked with the complete overhaul of the Shelter Scotland website. You’ll be central to this process, while also developing and managing all the team’s other activities – including social networking, audio-visual and brand development.
Producing and delivering an annual communications plan, you’ll liaise with our various external design and technical support suppliers – and will promote the advantages of web usage internally, particularly in the areas of fundraising and information provision. You’ll also help us co-ordinate online marketing, develop content streaming so we can share our information with other sites, and analyse our web usage statistics and user feedback.
You’ll need experience of successfully developing online and digital platforms in support of an organisation’s corporate goals – during this time, you’ll have grown accustomed to working in line with brand guidelines. You’ll also need the proven ability to manage a wide range of online communications, including large information-based websites.
It’s important that you’re right up-to-date with social media tools and techniques, as well as with digital audio-visual, multimedia design and web publishing processes. Finally, you’ll be able to recommend solutions that meet the needs of a diverse audience and enhance our presence online.

Digital Officer

In this key new post, which was created following a restructure, you’ll join our digital team – which has recently been tasked with the complete overhaul of the Shelter Scotland website. You’ll be involved in this process, while also supporting all our other digital offerings – including web, email, graphic and digital AV output.
Participating in the implementation of our annual digital communications plans and social networking policy, you’ll also help us plan public campaigns, devising innovative solutions that will enable us to reach key target audiences online. Your remit will see you editing and producing digital video and audio materials, and developing graphic and multi-media elements in support of online publishing.
With an in-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript, you’ll have experience of social media techniques and digital video production, as well as multimedia and graphic design. You’ll be used to delivering innovative digital solutions on time and within agreed specifications. It’s also important that you understand the demands of corporate websites and brand guidelines – and that you’re versatile enough to take on a widely varied workload.
Ideally, you’ll have some experience of publishing web content using a content management system, and will have proved yourself capable of supporting non-technical users.
