Calling all startups/spinouts in the tech scene – including Mobile, Gaming, BioTech, CleanTech and beyond…
It’s that time of year again. Engage|Invest|Exploit’s Investor Showcase is back 12th May 2010, and you’d better apply now if you want to be part of it. For the annual extravaganza, 50 of the hottest startups and spinouts from across Scotland will come together in Edinburgh to show off the informatics and computer science talent this country is bringing to the world.
And yes, try to beat this offer, it’s FREE to exhibit if you are selected. After dealing with some other tradeshow prices recently, I cannot believe what a nice deal this is from Informatics Ventures. Information from Andrew Mitchell below, and apply here now if you are interested.

Dr Mitchel
We would be most interested in presenting at your Investors Showcase in May. Ms Jessica Williamsom passed me your information but I had not anticipated that you closed at 1PM. I looked at your website and could not see the enquiry form.

Point-2-Point Genomics Ltd.
Point-2-Point Genomics Ltd is an Edinburgh, biotech start-up company that has successfully developed a novel methodology in reading the DNA code, giving enriched data capture. The method determines that prospectively linear single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), are indeed linear, thus describing the phase of these SNPs, with 100% accuracy. At last, this is accurate, affordable fine gene mapping. The now proven technology platform can be applied on a wide range of already existing multi-plex flow cytometry bead systems, such as Luminex. The method requires that oligonucleotides be attached to beads, designed in a very specific Point-2-Point configuration, before going through the PCR reactions prescribed in the methodology. Effectively this covers a rich proprietary reagent trail. This inexpensive, disruptive technology is a paradigm shift for genetics offering tests hitherto technologically and economically impossible. A simple bead/flow cytometry system is thus converted into the most accurate gene analyser the world has ever seen. This allows for the development of a new category of sensitive, accurate, robust DNA tests for research and routine markets in molecular biology, and microbiology.
We have prepared a website, covering the method, its applications and the segmental make-up of a $9 Billon target market, to assist in partnering the technology. As well as new test developers we are particularly seeking partners interested in developing the full automation available within the system. The reagents are available and the Company seeks to license the technology.
Thanks Ray, hope you got signed up ok last week after Andrew emailed back 🙂
Do you mind if I quote a few of your posts as long as

the information you provide here. Please let me know if this okay with you.
Appreciate it!
I was suggested this website via my cousin. I’m not sure whether
