Wow. What a party. What a turnout. When the Edinburgh (and Glasgow!) startup community comes out to play, we really do play! (We managed to drink through the £500 bar tab in an hour and 15 mins – bet there are a few sore heads this morning.)
And don’t take it from me, here’s what other people said about the night:
The ‘Real’ People to Thank …
A lot of people have thanked us for organising a great party. But to be honest, things wouldn’t have been so easy to sort out if it wasn’t for the support from the five companies that sponsored the night. If you enjoyed the party last night – there are five people that you should REALLY thank …
- Gavin Dutch (Kotikan)
- Tom Griffins (Fanduel)
- Duncan Johnston-Watts (Cloudsoft)
- Bonamy Grimes (Skyscanner)
- Dug Campbell (MBM Commercial)
When I spoke to them about the throwing a big party in helping to bring everyone in the community together, they all immediately understood the value of helping to develop the eco-system and not one of them hesitated to say yes. It is this sort of community feeling that makes Edinburgh awesome.
A Selection of Photos
It was fantastic to see so many old faces as well as new. Some I didn’t even get a chance to say Hi to (sorry!). But I managed to get a few photos of the night, so here they are. If you have any photos from the night, please feel free to get in touch and we’ll put them up here too!

Great night! Really enjoyed it.
I’ve put some more pics up on flickr too:
