Hey guys, lots of gossip from yesterday as we’ve been keeping busy! Thanks so much for all the tweets back to us, it’s been really good to hear from you along the way. Our shout outs go to Chris and Andrew of Tiziano Project, Alexis and Dave of Hipmunk, Mona of Apture, and many more… In this podcast trio, we cover our panel adventures, a meetup of cool entrepreneurial women, and the UK Trade & Investment BBQ full of friendly faces.

Our nightlife continued with am amazing storytelling event – Fray Cafe, followed by the Search Party (thanks Hipmunk, Blekko, Chomp!), meeting the Guardian team while in line for tacos, my first double cheeseburger, new friends at 2am, and staying up to watch the sunrise… well ok, one of us was more sensible…

#SXSW Day 3 – the podcast

Its Day 3 into our South by Southwest adventures. Today, we recorded our podcast while standing in line at the temporary Apple store between East 6th St and Congress. We have shout outs for a bunch of people, including Lloyd Davis (@lloyddavies), Whitney Hess (@whitneyhess) and Marc Hemeon (@hemeon). We talk about what we got up to in our first day at the conference, with Jess heading off to Tim O’Reilly’s and WordPress sessions.

In the second part, we talk about the Ignite Austin talks with talks from (free) Ice Cream man, and we talk about what we’re looking forward to, including the panel sessions we’re attending (there’s a lean startup day on all day), meeting up with Jennie Lees (@jennielees) and the SXSWi opening party tonight.

There are several apps around these days to help us track our friends, see who’s around us, and let’s be honest – stalk people we want to meet. But never before have I seen an app dedicated to the movement of a single individual.

As of this week, the honour of a dedicated app goes to Robert Scoble (@scobleizer), popular tech blogger and social media personality who is heavily followed around SXSW (South by Southwest). Dreamed up by witty Edinburgher Ewan Spence (@ewan), and innocently built by Tom Scott (@tomscott), the aptly named site www.IsScobleInThisRoom.com will answer the question every social media consultant is asking themselves around the conference…  (more…)
