Ad:Vent is the fundraising project of 6 Capgemini Consulting graduates challenged with devising a business idea to raise £10,000 for the Prince’s Trust. After successfully negotiating the Dragon’s Den and receiving £1500 for their concept, they have been busy making Ad:Vent a reality.
The concept is simple. Ad:Vent is an innovative, stylish online advent calendar delivering 5 minutes of festive fun this December! The calendar costs just £5. With this you are entered into the daily raffle to win exclusive prizes every day until Christmas! You can download a desktop application which provides a festive joke, a brainteaser and the story of someone who has directly benefited from the Prince’s Trust.
In return for donating prizes, companies have their logo displayed on the Ad:Vent advertising. Prizes include:
- A Blackberry,
- 1 year exclusive membership at Ronnie Scotts,
- Luxury Christmas hamper from Harrods,
- Scarves and a handbag from Aquascutum
Please support Tamara Castelli, James Harte, Chloe Booker, Matt Ford, Daisy Hammond and Harry Queenborough this Christmas. They are defending the reputation of Capgemini against a multitude of other firms! Five minutes of festive fun for a fiver (or triple your chance of winning for £10). Please donate now! All of the proceeds go to The Prince’s Trust, the youth charity that helps change young lives in the UK. The Trust endeavours to give both practical and financial support whilst developing skills such as confidence and motivation, tirelessly with 14-30 year olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.
I commend these guys for finding a way to fundraise through creating value, and not just soliciting donations of goodwill. That is always the challenge and I have a lot more respect for fundraisers that find a way to offer something of worth in exchange for cash.
Think this sounds like a cool mix of the excitement of advent calendars, providing value through entertainment as well as prizes, and actually educating us about the Trust’s activities.
Plus I know Tamara and she is awesome – I’m sure the rest of the team are rad as well. Best of luck!
