I think you get to take the night off from the startup and tech event world, so tackle that abandoned project or closet at home that’s been nagging you. Or spend the evening outside with the extra hour of sunlight.
Wednesday 31st April: Small Project Grant Deadline 5pm
University of Edinburgh students, staff, and societies are invited to apply for some money for a project that would ‘promote innovation in teaching, research and student provision’ at the uni. Perhaps you can take advantage in a way that would help your startup? Main point is that ‘Small Project Grants are one off grants to support unique activities or to provide start up funds for new initiatives. Successful projects are expected to become self funding after receiving the grant.’ [Guidelines here] [Application here]

Friday 2nd April: Edinburgh Coffee Morning, 8am at Centotre (George Street)
Lovely bunch of digital media, social media, and just generally fun folks chatting away and making new friends. The best way to start your Friday, if you can manage the arrival. On a good day, I generally make it for 9am and stick with the hard-core coffee junkies. It’s hard to get out of bed, but whenever I manage I’m always so happy I went!
