Good news for startup land! Guardian blogger Michael MacLeod is set to join the Appleton Tower community starting this coming week. You may have met Michael out and about covering an array of stories in Edinburgh, from the tuition protests to tram updates to plans for The New Victoria.
While his remit is the wider Edinburgh community, I can’t imagine
a better place to hot desk than surrounded by lots of awesome startups and cool people. In order to welcome Michael to the lively Appleton community, and help folks get to know one another, there will be an informal Welcome Lunch, Monday 12:30pm on the 6th floor. It seems there are a number of new faces around, and we’re looking for an excuse to break out some Christmas crackers, so let’s get everyone together and just enjoy ourselves.
Folks from outside Appleton Tower are more than welcome too, so join in! Bring your own tasty lunch, tacky Christmas sweaters optional, and the first dozen get a cracker hat — ooh exciting!
