If there were an occasion to use your time warping skills, this Wednesday night would be a good chance. With 3 2 great events to choose from, it’s a shame they’re scheduled for the same slot, but you are sure to have a great mid-week outing if you can make it to one of these. Anyone with a stake in cloud computing may like to check out Cloudcamp, Glaswegians gather for Tech Meetup, and we’re especially excited to see the Entrepreneurship Club season begin again. There is definitely something for everyone this week, so I hope you’re not hosting any Wednesday dinner parties.
E-Club: Wednesday, 23rd Sept, 6:30pm at UofE Business School LT1
This is the first Entrepreneurship Club event of the academic year and is open to all students, startups, and members of the wider community. An assortment of E-Club members will present their business ideas, so come hear what everyone is up to and meet some cool folks. Hey, StartupCafe will be presenting, so you can cheer/heckle us too! Just like all E-Club events, the presentations are followed by a drinks reception where you can chat on-on-one with the presenters and network with fellow club members. E-Club is a happy, cozy community so jump in now and get involved (just show up!).
[CANCELLED] Glasgow Tech Meetup: Wednesday, 23rd Sept, 7pm at Glasgow Caledonian
A monthly gathering for anyone in the tech startup scene – developers, programmers, entrepreneurs, students, community members, and curious bystanders. Most importantly, there will be free pizza and beer =). Join in at Glasgow Caledonian University, 1st Floor of the Saltire Centre. No RSVP or tickets needed.
Cloudcamp: Wednesday, 23rd Sept, 6:15-10pm at Appleton Tower ground floor
It’s time for another free unconference where early adopters and industry leaders of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. The event provides an opportunity to meet up and share experiences, challenges and solutions, and you can see the semi-structured schedule of talks and discussions here. End users, IT professionals and vendors are all encouraged to participate, and about 160 folks attended the last Scottish Cloudcamp in March 2009 (pics here). Attendance is free (though donations are welcome), but register online beforehand to grab a spot.
So, who’s got a spare time/cloning machine?
Oh and Scotruby group, on thurs, 7pm as well
Well too bad to hear this Tech Meetup is cancelled, but should make the cloning/time warping slightly less expensive!
Kate, I read that as ScotRUGBY group several times, just realised what you really wrote. Thought you were trying to get techies onto the field…
