The Twitter Episode: Love it or hate it, it’s there. Douglas Holmes gives an honest talk about how and why to use twitter to your advantage. Short presentation starts at 9:15. The Launch Lab is a weekly session geared toward anyone who owns or is starting their own business. A highly varied group of energetic, intelligent people gather to exchange ideas, share critiques and encouragement, and feed each others’ vitality.

This is the Edinburgh branch of the OpenCoffee Club which is an informal setting where entrepreneurs, developers and investors can drop in and network. Tea and biscuits aplenty!
Wednesday 21st April: Mobile Apps Group, 5:30pm at InSpace
lastminute.com Head of Innovation, Marko Balabanovic, will talk about their mobile apps. Bill Templeman is looking for suggestions for a mobile app for mountain bikers for 7 Stanes. The speaker, Mark Fahy, senior manager, UK primary markets, will provide an overview and history of the LSE, how the business currently operates and how the LSE helps companies to raise finance through its Markets. Mark will then cover the role the LSE plays within the City of London and how the City is structured, including who the other major participants are inclduing regulators, bankers, brokers and fund managers.
Friday 23rd April: Edinburgh Coffee Morning, 8am at Centotre (George Street)
Lovely bunch of digital media, social media, and just generally fun folks chatting away and making new friends. The best way to start your Friday, and well worth the early arrival (you can trickle in 8-9am if that helps). It’s hard to get out of bed, but whenever I manage I’m always so happy I went!
