Did you know that Edinburgh is hosting Stanford’s annual Roundtable on Entrepreneurship Education (REE) this year? It’s time to show our friends across the pond and across Europe that Edinburgh is one hip happening place for startups. Well, and it’s a chance for you to showcase your startup/spinout/design project to an audience of rather well-connected people around the world!
The exhibition event (REE Fest) is Wednesday 8th September, starting 5:30pm in the Informatics Forum. Exhibiting is free, but this is the last week to sign up so grab a spot before you write your next email! And if you want to join the festivities but exhibiting doesn’t suit, you can actually attend the exhibition portion free too – sign-up info for exhibitors and attendees thanks to Mike Clouser:
The Accel Stanford REE Fest sponsored by Informatics Ventures is on the 8th September 2010 from 5:30pm. It will be held in the Informatics Forum. I am looking for start-ups to exhibit — current students, alumni, or researchers related to any Scottish University are welcome. There is no charge to exhibit and the wider community will be invited to the event, which is free to attend. You can see the sign up here to be part of the exhibition.
Registration for exhibitors will close ~ August 1st. This is a good way to showcase your start-up and gain exposure to the wider community, including entrepreneurship and design educators in Europe and from all over the world.
REE Fest is part academic poster session and part startup and design fair, open to the wider community. REE Fest is the “free and open” segment of the Accel Stanford REE Europe 2010 hosted by the University of Edinburgh.
Part art show, part business start-up fair, and part academic poster session, REE Fest promises the sharing of ideas and creative energy at the intersection of design, entrepreneurship, and education. Innovation happens at the fringes and intersections. REE Fest 2010 will showcase the innovative pedagogies and platforms of entrepreneurship educators, the brilliant works of design and art students, and the ambitious start-up plans of student entrepreneurs.
Exhibitors will display posters, demonstrate products, and use other forms of communication to communicate their work and passions. REE Fest is an opportunity to experience what is new, exciting and innovative, to celebrate student entrepreneurship, and learn about the innovative methods and programmes that are teaching entrepreneurship at higher education institutions around the globe. Wine, beer, juice and soda will be served complimentary to guests during REE Fest. Bring a friend and tell others! Sign up here to attend.
