@Dreamstake is a network for creative entrepreneurs and last week I attended one of their events: Female Superheroes.When events like this go well, it’s like cocaine for business-minded folk.  Suddenly you feel great and want to rush away to execute your ideas!  There was a good turn out, lots of energy and inspirational stories.  It was great to see such enthusiasm. Several cool women gave presentations but I only have room to give a quick mention to a couple of them here today.

There’s a new site in town to help startups get spotted, and we’re delighted to see The Student Market showcase products and services from student entrepreneurs. The project has been pioneered by one of our favourite student groups iCUE Business & Entrepreneurial Society, and we’re excited to go exhibit and support their launch event tomorrow night – everyone is welcome, join us and check out the student startup scene!

LAUNCH.ed/iCUE Event Series

This year, LAUNCH.ed is teaming up with iCUE to offer a series of events to develop your practical entrepreneurship skills. The iCUE Event Series is free, open to all Edinburgh students and recent graduates, and is intended to be an excellent preparation for this year’s business plans. All events will begin at 18:30 with free beer and pizza unless otherwise stated.
